Mizkan Euro, part of the Mizkan Group, are delighted to announce the new working partnership between mcgarrybowen & UM to help create the 2013-14 communications programme to support the UK’s number 1 sweet pickle* – BRANSTON.
‘We’re looking forward to working with both agencies as part of our family and are raring to go with ideas to inspire and educate the consumer into the great tasting world of chutneys & relish, pickled vegetables and vinegars!’ commented Paul Shanahan, Mizkan Euro Managing Director. Japanese company, Mizkan Group, the world’s number 1 supplier of Sushi vinegar, bought BRANSTON from Premier Foods earlier in the year for £92.5m and started their search for agencies to help support their strategic growth platforms post Easter. The company is planning to invest substantially in the brand with the chosen agencies also working on campaigns to reignite the nation’s passions in pickled vegetables via HAYWARDS and their love of vinegar with SARSON’S, brands which Mizkan also acquired from Premier Foods in 2012.
Toby Sachs, Managing Director of mcgarrybowen said “We are very excited to have the chance to work on a truly iconic British brand. The chemistry between our teams felt terrific and we can’t wait to get started on Monday.”
This love for this great British brand was also mirrored by Russell Place, Managing Director of UM. ‘We are thrilled to have been given the opportunity to work with Mizkan and are looking forward to helping deliver future success across its famous British brand portfolio’
Activity is planned to support the brands in the run up to the Christmas season.
